ABOUT AAMOW ART

I’ve always been interested in using wood to create art. As a child I would construct toys and models from cardboard, this continued through childhood and as a teenager I developed my skill and made wooden furniture.

It all started when I finished decorating the house, I wanted a wooden wall sculpture or picture as a nice wall feature but couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for so I decided to make one myself. I was very pleased with the results and the reaction from friends and family was great, they loved it!

This led to friends and family asking me to create bespoke wall art for them so I did, friends of friends and colleagues also requested and purchased my wall art. I grew in confidence and wanted to develop my skill further, I experimented with different types of wood paints, blended colours using acrylic, oil paints, and wood stainers and used lacquer for a polished finish. I thoroughly enjoy and love when a project starts coming together.

Every day I’m always thinking about new ideas like creating more abstract art. I take great pleasure in the whole process of crafting – cutting, shaping, sanding, staining, and painting. As each stage unfolds it is humbling to see a unique creation emerge.
